The right people

The most important part of the media planning process is to analyse and understand your target audience. It’s highly likely that your product or service will be purchased by a defined subset of the population. Even mass market products tend to appeal more to certain consumer segments and those segments may represent a disproportionate share of total purchases made.  Our definition of your target audience will exceed simple demographics. We are interested identifying “need states” and “need groups” that transcend normal demographic targeting.

The right message

There may be a number of ways of expressing your brand’s attributes and making them relevant to our target audience. We will analyse your business, marketing plans and products or services to understand what we need to say to consumers and why.

The right place

Place has both a media and a geographical expression.  Whilst place could be a certain part of the country, it could also be a certain place in our target audiences’ lives.  For example, if we are targeting individuals who are about to go on holiday from a London airport, but have forgotten to arrange travel insurance, the right place might be within a Tube carriage.  There are likely to be geographical variations in demand for your product or service – we work at all geographical levels from national activity to individual level household targeting.

The right time

A critical and often underestimated factor; how often does your target audience buy, and when?  Many products are bought at certain times of the week, month or year.  We will advise you on when your product is most likely to be purchased, and when it is most important to advertise it.
